Performative Theatre vs Effective Action: Protecting Animals in Canada

Image by Hilary Halliwell on Pexels

The insightful video below discusses both the political promises that have been made and the need for performative action around protecting animals in Canada. One of the many things it covers is the need to fund the cutting edge Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods (CCAAM) which has been forced to close it’s doors due to lack of funding. The government has allowed this to occur despite all it’s promises about moving away from animal testing.

Our thanks to Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, M.P. Beaches-East York for creating the video.

Want to take action?

Please write to your M.P. as well as the Minister of Health and ask them to provide the necessary funding for the Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods (CCAAM) to reopen it’s doors.
