Ava Helps ADAV with More of It’s Work – Including a Call for Canada to End Required Animal Testing of New Drugs: You Can Help Too!
TAVA’s Ambassador, AVA the bunny – who has embarked on a world wide tour of discovery and work to end animal experimentation – continues to work with us to end animal experimentation. In the image above, she reviews the ADAV petition calling an an end to the requirement that animal testing be a required part of the approval process for new drugs in Canada. The U.S. has already ended this requirement. It’s time Canada follows suite!

Sample text for the letter:
Please support an upcoming petition to be read by the Hon. Don Davies MP that will ask the government to direct Health Canada to end the entrenched requirement for the testing of new drugs on animals in favour of sophisticated, human-relevant and reliable evidence methods.
Please encourage the government to enact policies that promote modernized health research, teaching and testing which will save millions of animal – and possibly many human – lives each year in Canada. Instead, please reallocate funding from repetitive animal testing-based science to the development, validation and implementation of scientifically and morally superior methods; and to live up to Canada’s commitment to reduce and replace the use of animals in biomedical research, training and testing.
Thank you.
On a lighter note, AVA attended the Vancouver Vegan Festival with us on Sept. 7, 2024 to help educate the public about issues like these – and collect signatures on our petitions! You can see her below enjoying the beach at the festival.
