Innovative Science Advocates Applaud UBC’s Seeming Abandonment of Cruelest Procedures
The University of British Columbia (UBC) just released statistics on its use of animals in research and teaching in 2015, revealing that 185,692 animals were used in 517 research and teaching protocols at UBC. This corresponds to a total increase in animal use of 2% from last year.

In memory of Aurora and her daughter Qila
Supporters of ADAV and STOP UBC Animal Research send our love and respects to Aurora and her daughter Qila who have passed away at the Vancouver Aquarium.
Qila died about 2 weeks ago, and it has just been announced that Aurora has also passed. The Aquarium says Aurora was surrounded by people who loved her… Yet she should have been surrounded by other whales – in the wild where she belonged.
