University of British Columbia’s president Santa Ono is leaving this fall to take on a new job leading the University of Michigan. We wish him well in his new position.

It is our hope that the person who replaces him at UBC supports the university to move away from animal research and toward more innovative, progressive and human relevant approaches such as those used at University of Windsor’s Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods.
