Send a Letter Urging the House of Commons Agricultural Committee to Revise Bill C-275 so that it Protects Animal Cruelty Whistleblowers
PETA has created a simple letter writing opportunity to help protect farm animals in Canada. It’s on an issue we have covered before, but we need to keep the pressure going.
Lawmakers in Canada are pandering to meat industry interests by trying to pass legislation punishing those who try to help animals trapped on filthy farms and in slaughterhouses.
PETA’s eyewitness investigations into U.S. factory farms and video exposés of facilities in Canada have documented that sadistic workers left pigs to die slowly and rot in crates, smashed piglets’ heads against concrete floors, beat and sexually assaulted pigs with steel gate rods and hard herding canes, and stomped and threw chickens and turkeys like footballs.
Please urge the House of Commons Agriculture Committee to revise Bill C-275, An Act to Amend the Health of Animals Act, so that it protects whistleblowers and holds farm operators accountable.
The button below will take you to a PETA page where there is more information on this issue. There are two videos there, that you can optionally watch, but if you can’t bring yourself to watch them, you can skip them. Below the videos is an opportunity to send a pre-written letter. It only takes a few minutes and can make such a difference!
